Will.i.am has teamed up with Lexus to create a special edition NX as part of the Striking Angels campaign to launch the new car. This special edition NX should combine elements from the worlds of music, design and technology. Will.i.am has proved himself to have quite the artistic eye, so I'm sure he will come up with something good.

“Whatever I do, I want it to be striking. I want to innovate and revolutionize, and my partnership with Lexus on the Striking Angles campaign is no different,” the artist said. “Inspired by our shared philosophy in design, we’ve been able to work together on a multi-faceted campaign that will challenge design conventions and fuel people’s imaginations.”
There will also b e a short film to go along with the special edition model. it will be accompanied by will.i.am's new song Dreaming About the Future.

I could care less for this, but it's a great way to attract more new people to the brand and make them stand out.

Thankfully TRD did something with the NX, more to my liking.
I suppose celebrity endorsements work to sell vehicles. If it didn't then they would have stopped doing it by now. Just wish there was more focus on the NX instead of will.i.am
Maybe if he were more standing to the side of it rather than smack dab in the middle... essentially blocking the NX
Or if he just wasn't there at all. Will.I.Am is dead these days. He's irrelevant in the scene lmao

If anything, being in front of the NX will help his career instead of him endorsing it helping sales.
might be time for them to take a page out of what JLR does and that is to do short films which still highlight the vehicle and keep it as the star rather than what Lexus has going on here which isn't a great attempt at all, poor execution.
It's very interesting to have a musician come up with an artistic design for a car. I don't personally think that he's got any engineering background, but we'll see! When the car comes around, we'll get it tested and whip the calculator out to see how it compares with other similar tacked models in the market!
