If you load too much music on your USB stick, you will not be able to use the voice control, such as Play Artist or Play Song. The system msg is something like this: "Your library has been prepared for Voice recognition. Please try agaiin later". And it will never be done. I am checking with my locar Lexus dealer but they do not know about this bug. Currently, I loaded 3000 songs = about 26GB on my USB stick. I will try to lower the amount to see how many are enough for the system to work.

However, the song titles, artists are show appropriately on the screen. It is just that I cannot voice control my music, which I need during traveling.

Have you tried loading the usb with one or two albums for comparison? If it still can't read it then it's a system issue.
Could be a case of it taking a long time to catalog the songs.

Thanks for pointing that out, hopefully Lexus comes out with a fix for it since this shouldn't happen. Have you spoke to your dealer about it?

I have about 4000 songs and have to use a I-Pod as the NX gets confused with the USB Stick.
This seems to be a problem with many vehicles not just Lexus. Try smaller sticks as that may help also you can try smaller files.
