Short center armrest!

Anyone else concerned about the center console armrest being too short, I like my armrests to be far forward, so that my whole forearm can rest on it and not just the tip of it.
That mouse probably won't be available on non-tech packages, so I wonder if the armrest length and position will be the same, would be great if it was adjustable to slide it forward.

I hadn't really given it much thought before this. It is annoying when the arm rests are not quite in the right position, but I would hope that Lexus would get something like that right.

The only thing that worries me slightly is the fact that there is the mouse controller thingy. They may have made the arm rest shorter in order to have people's hand match up with the controller, which could possibly have made the arm rest shorter. Although it should be that your hand does match up with the mouse so hopefully they get the right balance between everything.

it can't be that bad, if you look at where the back rest starts you can see you can at least get your elbow and a good portion of that area and beyond on it.
My old Lexus SC300 was like this and it was fine with me .

No such thing as homogeneous sizing, what may be right for you is completely out of the question for me. Just don't see how we can say get the arm rest right (which just sounds absurd IMO) when there is no consensus "right" among the various shoppers...

that is very true, it's not something that will apply to everyone, it will vary from person to person but overall from my experience most people seem to be fine with most setups

That is a good point. I guess it depends on how tall you are and how long your arms are, where you have placed the seat, etc...

I think that a good arm rest design is adaptable enough that it can be moved and adjusted to be comfortable for all kinds of people.
I always try to sit with my back up straight with proper posture and almost an arms length away from the steering wheel with easy access to the pedals and sitting like that in no matter what car i'm in works out for me.

Non issue i think/hope. The mouse pad should be enough to provide support for your right arm. That is one side benefit of the mouse...by definition, the surrounding area (around mouse) has to be high enough to be comfortable for your arm while operating the mouse. See RX interior. Same thing.

Actually, the armrest length for me is very important as well.
arm rest length should be more than enough, the always seem to get it right from my experience.
I'm 5'7", not a dwarf, but not tall either, so I like my armrest to be long so that I can rest my right forearm while driving/cruising, not just my elbow like in my current car, plus I drive at 8 and 4 when cruising, I don't stress out my shoulders driving at 10 and 2 like it's "supposed" to be.
To be fair the armrest on the NX looks pretty substantial, with good cushioning, should feel nice, I'll test drive the hybrid when dealers have them, even though I want the 200t F, so I'll know soon if everything is good to go.
