I haven't driven an RX but a friend has 300k on theirs and has loved it. Just sitting in the showroom the RX felt much bigger and I really wanted a smaller vehicle this time around so I didn't test drive it. We drove the NX 200t though and really liked it.

Dealer had exactly 2 NXs on the lot, one base 200t and one F Sport 200t. After we drove the base it was taken to be prepped for delivery to someone that had put a deposit down. Price for the NX was straight MSRP...no deals.

The RX in contrast...the dealer said he had about a 100 new and used in two dealership locations! He indicated there were deals to be had on those.

I had a 2006 RX330 and when I went looking to trade it in on a new one I saw the NX. Once I looked at all the specs and took the test drive it was over. Got the NX200t the next day. I loved everything about this car and the test drive nailed it. The ride is unreal for a car this size.

Have had outstanding experiences with Lexus' and the dealer in Jax, FL. Have never driven better vehicles when considering the quality and overall experience.

Was anyone expecting these cars to not coexist well anyway? This just kinda seems like a non story to me.
well the RX has always straddled 2 segments, so there is plenty of reason that potential shoppers may consider the NX along with an RX. If the cars are contented similar...Think older retirees who are into the RX450h, the NX300h makes a similar proposition at a lower purchase price.

But you're the perceptive one... >:D
