I haven't heard anything about such a feature for the NX. Seems like its a bit redundant if you have the start button on your key fob as well. Is this something that most companies are offering? It seems to me that it isn't like this is becoming an industry standard or anything.

I just read this from the Autoblog review: "There are some new technology bits worth briefly touching on that come as part of the Lexus Enform system in the NX. For 2015, Lexus is launching a smartphone app that is capable of starting the engine, locking or unlocking the doors, lowering the windows, checking fuel level or helping to locate a parked car. To get it, you'll have to check the box for factory navigation; the first year is free, after that, it's going to cost you $80 (that's just for the remote – other add-ons like Safety Connect at $140 per year after the first and Destinations at $125 further drain the bank account)."

At $219, that's not too bad for the service. How many of you would have wanted to see it for free or for a much lower price?
Free is better. I would get the $80 Remote service if Lexus has it separately which is in the article posted by JoeLasVegas. It would be worth it to me to have it for the Winter months here in the Northeast just to Remotely start the NX.

Enform Remote App

The remote app is, indeed available and it works great. One feature is the ability to set it when you turn your NX over to a valet to park. The app reports on engine start, MPH, distance driven. No Ferris Bueller's Day Off here. The app also shows whether the doors are locked and a GPS map showing vehicle location.

I don't think it works great I own a Lexus NX turbo and it doesn't not connect always.
Furthermore it takes approximately 30-40 seconds to first lock the doors and put in the
security code twice then another 30-40 seconds to start engine. My previous 2 cars were
able to be started with just a push of a button on the key fab. This system on lexus needs to be improved.

My wife and I have the remote app on on both of our phones for our new NX 200t. It does indeed take 20-30 seconds to process a command, but well worth the "hey, look what my phone can do" trick.

I don't remember where I read it, but... After installing the "remote" press the key fob lock 3 times. After seeing the lights flash 3 times, on the third time hold the button and the car will start. I just did it and it worked!!! I LOVE this car!!!

I like the Lexus Enform app even if you have to put in your code twice. I have played around with it in a large parking lot as well as at home. It is a little slow but then it is either cell and satellite controlled. Others that are faster are short distance radio controlled.
