It seems like such a funny feature. Is it that hard to just turn the wipers on yourself? Luxury has turned into laziness in some cases IMO. I wouldn't complain about them but it wouldn't be a must have in any car that I buy.

Once you have them, you won't go back.... :)

I got used to them with my old Mercedes...it was pretty neat and useful; granted, not a must-have, but useful nonetheless (surprisingly).

I got um on our NX, just never had a chance to use them yet. Been nice weather here in Hawaii.

Are they accurate at sensing what speed they need to be wiping at? I can imagine that you have to manually control the speed despite them turning on automatically.
Looking forward to seeing reports on what it's like using this in the real world and how sensitive it is and if that will be a problem or not.
On my 2004 Mercedes, it worked quite well. Maybe when it is raining heavy, then i override it...but if i remember correctly, it was a good thing to have.

I have them on my '04 RX. They work quite well. There is an adjustable sensitivity dial and it also varies the interval depending on your speed. My major complaint is that there aren't any markings on the control lever to know if you are in off or auto position. I tend to leave it in auto position but the lever can get bumped to the off position.

Indeed.

The wipers are pretty smart and adjust automatically (e.g. full speed in a downpour, then off under and underpass, then back on).
That is a pretty cool feature. I can't wait to try it out, oh wait....I hate it when it rains, just means the car gets dirty in the rear and I have to wash it! LOL
