We have about 1500 miles on our NX 200t. Being used to driving our previous 2011 Outback 3.6R, I've put our new NX in some really challenging situations, just to see how it compares. Today, crawling up a nearly 1 mile driveway of sinking gravel and 4 inches of wet snow, following a new 4WD Tundra, and questioning my intelligence the whole way up the hill... I gotta' say, we went the same route as the Tundra and never skipped a beat! I am soooo freakin impressed with our new AWD NX!!!

This is great to hear. Wasn't exactly sure that the off-road ability of the NX would really stack up to competitors, but apparently it can hold its own.

Not bad at all!
Too bad there isn't any videos or pictures to go with this as that would be awesome :D

I'm sure eventually we'll see some suspension testing videos to see how far Lexus pushed it.

Sorry no video. I had both hands on the wheel expecting to get stuck any second. Again, I put our NX in a difficult situation 5 or 6 times so far and it won every time! I will wait to see what TFL has to say!

I should add... I am a multi media artist and have no ties whatsoever to Lexus other than buying a new NX. As a previous Subaru owner... I am very impressed with the new NX!!! Our Subarus in the past 4 years: 2011 Outback 3.6R Limited, 2012 STI 5 door and 2013 STI 4 door. I am 52 years old and have been blessed to drive several very nice cars and trucks in my life! Just adding my personal experience with (my wife's) new NX. And I LOVE driving it!!!

Yea a dash cam video would have been great to go with this. Glad to have your report on this though. I'm happy to hear that it can keep up with the AWD crowd.

Unintentionally I tested the NX thru a ditch & about a foot or 2+ of snow.

Scenario ... I thought the unplowed driveway extended straight out from the garage. NOT! I drove towards the garage door not expecting the ditch. The whole front yard was level with snow over a foot deep. The ditch deeper. Yes, the back wheels got stuck. Sweat. Reverse once, buzz forward and out. No drama at all! There was over 2' of snow in the ditch with 1' over the yard. I "heart" all wheel drive. And I hate the "heart" thing. LOL

That is quite impressive, in a situation like that I would have thought some rocking back and forth in reverse and drive would be needed just pack the snow down to create a bit of a solid platform to finally get moving from, but clearly your NX cut through it like a hot knife through butter :D

That is a good short-term solution to deal with the issue as it happens, but still is something that lexus needs to look after.
they are in the business of providing quality vehicles, this falls under that.
