Haven't seen any ratings on the NX published anywhere, no better place to do this than on a community of real NX owners.

For what ever rating you give the NX on the poll above, try to describe the reasons behind your rating. Feel free to mention other vehicles as it relates to this discussion on the NX.

I wanted to rate it at 8.5 but you don't have that option. My reasons i have briefly enumerated in another thread. Let me just say that I think the cargo space is rather small for me. I also hear a buzzing of the engine for about 5 seconds after turning it off. I wonder if that's normal or a cause for concern.

Seen your likes/dislikes thread and I also found the disabled nav choices to be weird. This time around Lexus did a lot of weird things they should have with the NX.

I haven't witnessed this sound at all.

So far I would only rate it down for the smallish cargo capacity, premium fuel requirement and the lack of scattered cubby holes. That mirror backed piece and the basically unusable sunglass holder underneath is ridiculous.

some might agree with me or not but I think the whole small cargo size thing shouldn't be mentioned as a fault, it's a direct byproduct of being a smaller vehicle, something to be expected, accepted and worked around.

This is what I think too. Its not like the cargo space is bad for a car of its size. If you want more cargo space, get a bigger car.

If not not enought cargo space, you simply did not get the proper Lexus, should have gone with RX

You guys are right. I should not have compared it to my RX350. Smaller vehicles = smaller cargo space. On second thought, comparable vehicles such as BMW X3, MB GLK350? have bigger cargo volume.

Nah. We've had two RXs and weren't interested in purchasing a new one that's about to become 'the old model'. And the handling on the NX was far superior with what the RX could manage. Perhaps in a couple of years when we have gotten used to the new RX looks we will trade towards it.

Been driving our NX200t F Sport since January. It's a very different animal than our old 2000 RX it replaces. It's just about the same exterior dimensions as the gen 1 RX although it gives the appearance of being smaller. Personally, I'm OK trading some cargo space and storage from the old RX for the performance, styling, comfort and looks of the NX F Sport.

2000 RX and that entire generation was part of Lexus' old era of vehicles. Did you drive the generation after it?

Always disliked how mini-van like that gen was.

I drove later gen RX loaner cars. Each gen of the RX got better and bigger. Although very nice, the latest gen RX doesn't feel nearly as connected as the NX F Sport. Of course both cars are designed with different segments and (theoretically) buyers in mind.

Rating of 9 on 10.
Arguably the best Lexus I've owned, better than the '13 RX F Sport we traded it for in most every way except interior room of course.

Excellent fit, finish, styling, ride, handling, NVH, cargo, interior room, and especially the tech (LDA, BSM/RCTA, DRCC, HUD, AVS, etc)

Shy of a perfect ten because the power delivery although extremely smooth and powerful, is laggy at launch.

That means a lot since you are coming from a vehicle from the brand that's close enough to the NX.

What other Lexus models have you owned?

Three RX - '05 330; '07 400h; '13 350 F Sport
Two IS - '08 IS 250 AWD and current IS 250 AWD F Sport
'11 CT 200h

Loved all of them but the CT was noteworthy in that I achieved an average 50 mpg, 90% city driving, over the course of my ownership! :D

Buddy of mine owned a CT for city commuting, to and from work and loved the MPG's it got, even with a couple of his coworkers that he'd normally scoop up... still got great gas mileage.

I think Lexus is supposed to be doing something new to the CT.

That would make a lot of sense due to what's obvious to us about the both of those models.

Back on the NX, Lexus/Toyota seems to be good with improving models as the years go on, so we could expect a poll like this to eventually take over in the 9's and maybe the 10's.... since so far 8 is leading.
