Front end design differences are crazy, just goes to show how dull the Q5 looks, but the rear end isn't so bad. But this Q5 seems due for a refresh/next gen model as its design isn't entirely in line with where Audi is moving.
Can't blame you, although I'm a big fan of Audi i rather wait for a redesign rather than drive something that looks like it came from the mid 2000's with some 2015 things glued on.It is the bland styling of Q5 that kept me away from it.
That they are.I think Audis look great but they are just styled very different from Lexus. They are kinda on opposite sides of the styling spectrum. Audi is quite conservative, while Lexus takes a lot more risks.
That's a great look Audi ^
Not nearly as boring as many of their other vehicles.
Plan to purchase a 300h sometime next year after the 2016 models have been out awhile....it will be the perfect compliment to the 2016 Audi Q3 I just purchased.Yup Audi's design carry a level of class that that's what i think to be the perfect middle ground between BMW and Mercedes, the perfect mixture of some sportiness with class.
I think the Q5 is also a pig, probably weighs A LOT, don't know much about audi and their weight saving efforts but it doesn't seem to be something they're known for.I took the Q5 out for a test drive today just to see the difference. I liked their Navigation setup better than ours - it seems more organized and simple to find things and use. Also liked the wheels better than our non-F ones, but the styling and performance in the NX is much better. The Q5 is more soccer-mom and the NX is sportier. I would imagine that the quattro would perform better in the snow and rocks though.
Did you get a chance to drive the Q3?I took the Q5 out for a test drive today just to see the difference. I guess that's because the Q3 is smaller and still packs good power, sort of like what you'd get from the NX!I've driven the Q3, the Q5, and the NX200t and NX300h (and lots more cars that fit that segment).
I've got a 2016 Q3 on order because it was really fun to drive, and plan to purchase one of the NX models after the first of the year.
As for the Q5, nice car, but the Q3 was just a lot more fun to drive....and the Q3 size is an excellent compliment to the NX.
