I was always a fan or surround systems, it beats being limited to just some beeping that tells you how close you are to something.
I'm all for helping out drivers but i also think that people should be competent enough to not hit things without this surround view camera. Makes me nervous about how they drive generally.Especially if you live in a busy city and need to parallel park and do it quick, also good if you're not that great with averaging out how close you are to things.
They should, but with a new car, as you're trying to get used to it, it's something you're more likely to worry about depending on the car of course. Some people feel super comfortable others feel like they're driving a tank.I'm all for helping out drivers but i also think that people should be competent enough to not hit things without this surround view camera. One in the front grill, one each in the outside mirror housings and one in the rear (same as rear camera?). This may not be available in North America.Looks rather crude to me. Anyone know where the cameras are located?
Agreed, but all the press releases for the US and the brochure from the Lexus Canadian site don't list this item. Also, the Canadian brochure lists HUD as an option, the US press releases doesn't. Omission by Lexus or specs not finalized yet or not being offered? If North America is the biggest market, you would think it would receive all the goodies. It would be weird if not available in north america. I see a lot of drivers that rely on those systems and can't imagine them without it. Seems like N/A is one of the key places for this feature.
Its true yes, perhaps protecting some exclusivity with the RX? I don't know, perhaps cutting costs to keep it competitive with the german 3? I don't know there is no logical explanation I can come up with...Agreed, but all the press releases for the US and the brochure from the Lexus Canadian site don't list this item. Good point, i wouldn't be all that surprised if that's what they're actually up to.Its true yes, perhaps protecting some exclusivity with the RX? I don't know, perhaps cutting costs to keep it competitive with the german 3? I don't know there is no logical explanation I can come up with...
