Im not sure if I would say it's a must have but it does however help to create a more open feeling which can greatly increase your experience in any vehicle with it.

Not must-have, but it is a really nice option. Having the natural light coming through the roof I find to be very nice. Makes the cabin feel much more open. I bet that it will be a very popular option.

This may be a dumb question, but i do not see the gutters.....meaning is this a panoramic moon roof, or just a panoramic roof? I would love it to be the latter.

Ah you don't necessarily need to see the gutters, MKZs are hidden under the glass...

fortunately many cars nowadays have a pano roof.

wife has a venza with a panoramic roof.

and my lexus is also sort of has a panoramic roof

i am a bit claustrophobic and it helps.
