I've had the NX since the end of December and have encountered SO many issues. As a previous Lexus owner (many times over), I was not expecting any of these.

My main issue is that the car sometimes jerks/buckles/hesitates when I am slowing down at highway speeds. It feels like the car is about to break down and was made in 1910. It's SO scary and very dangerous. I went to a dealer and had a very confusing experience (it's still going on). They first told me they felt it and then went on to say they never did and haven't been able to reproduce it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'll post sep threads for other issues.

Sucks that you are having issues. I do wonder how you know what cars from 1910 drive like though. :p

Lexus has great customer service, so I'm sure that they will help you the best they can. I haven't heard of this issue from other owners before though.

Ive never had a car do this so I have to go from what I've seen in the movies. Whatever it is, it is not normal.

I have always had a great experience with them. However, this time, it has just been a mess for some reason. I posted to see if anyone else is experiencing this. I read about some older Lexus models having this issue but no reason was ever explained. And when I was at the dealer, the service rep initially said the tech felt the same problem in my car and they are keeping it due to that. When I spoke to them after, he went back and said it was a mistake and it was another car. So, I am guessing there are others out there. If I find that person, I can maybe help the dealer fix it versus deny there is an issue.

Intermittent issues are very frustrating. Maybe you can have the service person ride with you since it seems to happen when you drive. I had a noise issue with my RX once. It took a mechanic to ride with me to fix it.

Was just a reference to what you see when a car breaks down in the movies....unfortunately that is what it felt like.

I've been on with Lexus regarding this and they have been unable to help as all the dealers are saying there is no issue - although the first said they felt it, tried to fix it and then said they never felt it. This is our family's sixth lexus so we are use to outstanding customer service. We are not receiving that at all this time....and I think it's simply b/c no one knows how to address these issues.

I am meeting with an engineer and if it does not solve the problem then I am going to be filing a Lemon case regarding this car.

The engineer should have more motivation to find this issue and probably comes from a better understanding of what ever new things are going on.
Hopefully they end up solving it. The running around to get things resolved is a headache!

Did you ever get this resolved? My car is doing the exact same thing. It is scary. Bucks and acts like an emergency brake is on. The EV light goes on and off. It has been at the dealership for 3 days and they say they can't reproduce it yet....

One of the problems with this thread is that we can't help without the following information.
What model of NX and where are you from.
While the bodies are similar there is a big difference between the different models.

Hi, I am still having the problem and they never resolved it. I kept getting that they were not able to duplicate the issue. I filed the car as a Lemon and finally had my hearing this morning. I wish I had seen your post prior to the hearing as it may have helped proved that my issue does exist. They brought the engineer as an 'expert witness' and the service manager from one of the dealers i went to as another witness. It was an absolute terrible experience. The Lexus lawyer was totally arrogant and literally rolled his eyes at me about a dozen times. Who in their right mind would want to go through this for a car? He said it's interesting that I haven't tried to sell my car. Why would I sell the car knowing there is such an issue? I'd literally be putting someone else in danger.

The Expert witness also told me that it may be my tire causing the issue. i had a flat...called lexus from costco and asked if i could use the replacement they recommended and they said yes that works. the lexus 'expert' said the tire is not approved and that i have to have all four of the same tires. my brother told me that is BS...how can they require people to change all four tires for one? i wish i had gone in with a lawyer so i would be taken more seriously, my own expert and had checked up on this forum prior to the hearing. i really dont know what to do at this point. the last time the jerking happened, a truck was behind me and had to go into the emergency lane just so he wouldn't hit me. it's really upsetting that they wont do anything at all to help me. i really hope and pray that they are able to resolve your issue and/or provide a solution.

Were they able to resolve your issue?
Can you PM me your info? I'd love to touch base with you and see who your dealer was. Maybe my reporting all this may help them actually investigating your situation.

Hi - I thought I replied yesterday. but it doesn't seem to have gone through
Were you able to get this resolved? What did the dealer say?

I STILL HAVE the same exact issue and keep getting the response that they can't reproduce it. I had to file the car as a lemon and Lexus's lawyer was basically trying to make it seem that I am making this all up. Maybe my case may help them understand that it is a problem when you tell them about your issue. Unless they found the issue, if so PLEASE share.

I have a 2015 Lexus NX 300H.

Also, if you can PM me what dealer you went to and your info, i'd love to contact you to get more information on what is happening on your end. it sounds the same though.

The 300h is a drive by wire system and if everything is not properly in sync you will see drivability problems. Read the reports from different car magazines about hybrids. They are getting much better but the early ones had problems.
When I purchased my first RX400h I was given very detailed instructions on the proper way to drive it.

I have only 2500 miles on my 2015 NX and already have a check engine indicator (wrench picture) next to my odometer milage! I'm taking it to the Service Dept tomorrow Saturday and hope it is only minor. I always buy new cars and this is the earliest I have ever seen this. My Cadillac is three years old and 20K miles and I have yet to see this. I haven't had any detectable trouble so far though with the NX and am happy thus far.

Check that your fuel cap properly tightened. This is a common reason for a check engine light. I think that you have to start and drive to get the light off.

The wrench picture next to the odometer mileage just indicates how many miles until the next maintenance is due.(oil change) You can cycle the odometer reading to just read your overall mileage.

According to my dealer this is still one of the main reasons that Lexus's are brought for check engine lights.
Another item that they are seeing is the parking assist sensors getting covered with snow or ice.
