Lexus u.s. Delivery & shipping policy
According to a dealer contact in Arizona, Lexus has a policy that all deliveries must take place in the same state & shipping new vehicles across state lines is prohibited. They do not "sell" vehicles to other dealerships. Also because the NX is new most dealerships are not open to trading at this time because supply has not yet caught up with demand.
Has anyone else been affected by this policy or received an exception? Deals between U.S. dealers prior to shipping from Japan appear to be possible but not after the vehicle arrives at the designated/ordering dealer.
