The NX Hybrid gets blue back lighting for its center stack and cluster

While the NX Turbo is back lit in red...

I think its just the angle of the picture... But yea i agree it is really cool, do you know if production cars have a similar distinction?

That can't be anything like what the production interior will be. And I don't want the production interior to be like that either. looks confusing and hard to manage. I'm anticipating a nice Lexus interior that is more in line with what the brand normally does.

I was talking about the back lighting. Will the NX Turbo and NXh differ in backlighting, are there any lexus cars we can use to confirm this?

Doesn't look confusing to me, if anything it's very simple and easy to understand can't be that hard to navigate a screen.

i agree, it looks like the vertical slots are HVAC controls and the screen is a simple touch screen....

Yeah, not much to it.
Almost everyone has a smartphone and most know how to use about any smartphone, im sure they will apply the same ease of use to systems like this.

because the rest of the interior looks exactly the same.
Plus these are classic lexus concept interiors

the actual NX interior will probably look similar to the rest of the actual production lexus interiors.

Im expected it to be a mix of the current RX and 2014 IS.

its taht you shouldn't believe any of it lol

they are design exercises to give you a hint of the exterior design shapes and language

usually the interiors are wild and dont really look close to production

well said.
the same goes for Toyota as a whole.
i take all of their concepts as design exercises which is what they really are without a direct relation to a production model

I hate the position of that shifter, it better not be something that gets carried over to the NX.

Yea that is exclusive to the RX. They put it there to avoid getting in the way of the cupholder and arm rest.

Considering you don't often shift in the RX I guess its not a terrible idea

Lexus is all about automatic anyways.

They show no interest in DCT or having to shift

Do you guys think there will be any interior visual cues that tip you off that you're in a Hybrid or Turbo? That was the point of this thread, the Hybrid is backlit with blue and the Turbo with Red. Do you think the ambiant light could be something transitioned to production. Its not exactly wild or complicated, I believe they use, um, different bulbs

yea i tried but most of the pictures dont have the ambient lights on, they're all day time shots. I thought someone here might have first hand experience...

Whatever they do i hope it's going to not going to make owners of it look like tree huggers. I rather have it close to the other models like the GS hybrid interior
