So AutoExpress reveled new info just this morning regarding the LF-NX.

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/lexus/nx/85642/lexus-nx-4x4-shaping-battle-audi-q5

Lexus has revealed that its new NX crossover will arrive in the UK in October, and prices are expected to start at around £30,000 – putting it in close contention with its Audi Q5 and BMW X3 rivals.
So when looking at that 30K UK MSRP, I went and checked up on the X3 and Q5 UK pricing.

X3 starts at 30,990 GBP
Q5 starts at 31,365 GBP

Consider that in North America the X3 begins at $39K and Q5 Starts at $37K, so assume a North America price point of $35-38K USD...

What do you think?

I'm hoping for $34k MSRP. I am just thinking that they are going to want it to be significantly cheaper than the RX350, and that still places it above it competitors from other brands. They wouldn't want to price it too far above what Audi and BMW are doing.

The IS250 came pretty basic.

Though this was the previous model. Not sure if the new IS has as basic of an interior.

So its not impossible. Depends how they want to market it

I believe the CT also comes very basic as well.

Lexus is not going to dump a stripped bare entrant into the hottest segment in the industry right now. Name of the game is base equipment in the luxury compact crossover, everyone is shopping on bang for buck. Offering a stripped bare vehicle with an option everything strategy is only going to push potential clients to other brands with more defined base packages...

I don't think anyone in this thread suggested a MSRP below thirty. The consensus seems to be somewhere in the $30-35K range.

And no one is expecting everything standard. But a healthy list of standard equipment works miracles for getting people in through the door. Especially if yor rivals are offering much of the same equipment as options. I'm looking at you Audi, BMW, Mercedes...
