The Lexus NX has made the short list of ten vehicles that are in the running for the North American Truck/Utility of the Year award. It looks like some pretty stiff competition but I think that the Lexus NX has a good shot at the top prize. I was excited when I saw NX on the list. Then I read that 49 journalists submit and vote on the vehicles - sorta like the Golden Globes for movies. Anyone could win - but since I'm a SUV person I'm pulling for the NX. Just need the pricing to see if the value is there.

I briefly saw pictures of it scrolling through autoblog and it does indeed look great, far better than the outgoing model. Even the new GMC Canyon looks great, i like it better than the colorado.

Full frame, e-locker in rear, 300 HP, high tow rating........but knowing that it is a Chevy, something is screwed up.... >

I'd still be considering a truck if they hadn't gotten so long as to not fit in my garage. I used to have a compact truck sometime ago and it was great except for people throwing empty cans in the bed (before recycling days).

Very true...every generation of cars is getting bigger and bigger....

Well there is a bit of a backlash to that and we do see companies coming out with smaller SUVs. Cars are pretty big these days though. I think in the future they will shrink down a little bit again. Seems pretty difficult to compare luxury CUVs like the NX and Q3 with trucks like the Colorado and F-150.
