Hello, anyone here in America considering changing the front bumpers? I love the exterior looks for the NX 200t F Sport but I'm in favor for the 300h power train. I REALLY, REALLY hate the front nose for the US market due to the CAFE regulations. I live in New York City btw so hybrid would be a best option for me ( also currently have ct200h). I feel the hybrid fits my profile because it takes REGULAR GAS and I drive mostly in local streets vs highway. To my knowledge the turbo requires premium gas, and the cost here in NY averages $4.37 per gallon. Regular is only $3.75. I was wondering if am I'm the only one considering doing this project? I know later in the future someone will post pictures of the full complete swap or ask questions with details. I need your opinions as well. My other question is do you think 21/28 ( 24 combined w/ premium gas) VS 33/30 ( 32 combined w/ regular gas ) will make a huge difference? They are 8 mpg apart.

I think that the 8 mpg will make a big difference. You'd definitely notice it if you compared the two models over time. Sounds like you already know the decision that you want to make, and it also sounds like you've thought it through and it makes sense.

I also agree with you on the American front end of the NX. The Euro spec model is prettier.

welcome to the show! What are you looking to make the swap with? I'm not sure if the TRD or Modellista kits will fit our CAFE'd NX's. Granted I believe the only difference is the approach angle, as meeting a certain approach anngle automatically gets your qualified as a light duty truck...

will need more info I suppose.

I noticed the RX is also like this, but fortunately it doesn't bother me as much as the front end on the NX does.
Swapping the bumper is going to be a bit extreme due to cost and availability.

You might be better off waiting for some aftermarket lip to come out or just leave it as it.

I'll decide how much I like the front after I see it in person. I saw pictures of the 2015 Subaru Outback grill and didn't like it. It actually looks a lot better in person and I could live with it. The NX may be the same.

Say if you dislike it, would that be enough to be a deal breaker for you or something you would look into changing some time down the road, and if so how long?

yeah, I agree. As of this moment, I think I will get the nx 300h in white w/ the 3 L shaped led low light headlights. I noticed it makes a big difference with those headlight upgrades. It doesnt look that bad with the ugly US spec grill. I tried photoshopping making the front grill in black and the side mirrors black as well, just like the f sport. Maybe Ill do that mod. i might change my mind once i see the f sport in person.

If I disliked it, that would not be a deal breaker and I wouldn't change it. The rest of the body is stylish. Overall, the reviews have been positive. Assuming that drivability is acceptable, the deal breaker for me would be value.
