Are there any competitors that offer a 3 door CUV that is around this size. I don't really see the point, but knowing luxury brands right now, they seem to be happy making every variant possible. I guess if it sells then they will make it. Do you think it would sell?

Nothing directly in this segment to compete with it. What they could do if they really see potential is release a concept and see what sort of response it gets. I don't think it will sell well.

Yup, the Evoque is the closest thing to it. Apparently it does well, not sure if the Lexus would have that kind of success but knowing how much money lexus and toyota has they can afford to do this even if it fails. It could be one of those low volume vehicles to make them unique in a way

I do think if Lexus offered this in a coupe it would offer SOME kind of heat to the Evoque.

I don't know, how many evoque COUPEs do you see shuffling about? Take rate for the 3 door was forecasted at 20%, but last time I looked it was below 15%...

Although one thing to keep in mind is that I've seen the Evoque Coupe being compared to things like the A5 and 4 series, so I'm wondering if a three door SUV couldn't actually rival for a tyoung professionals dollars, perhaps someone who doesn't have pretensions of being Ricky Racer on his lunch break?
