We bought my wife a new 2015 Lexus NX200t today (couple hours ago). It is Matador Red Mica with black interior. Premium Package, Nav, Power back door, and a number of other minor options. We had shopped the NX at the end of last year when it first came out but were hesitant to pull the way over $40,000 trigger at that time. Our dealer was "blowing out the 2015s" and I think we did okay on the deal. After buying a new car, I try not to price similar cars so as not to drive myself crazy:eek:. My wife has only driven it a few miles. I will update after we have more driving experience.

Congrats on your purchase! Looking forward to hearing more once you spend a bit more time in the vehicle. What were you looking for in a vehicle that led you towards the NX?

Why NX

Congrats on your purchase! Looking forward to hearing more once you spend a bit more time in the vehicle. What were you looking for in a vehicle that led you towards the NX?
In early 2014 I read about the NX. I liked the styling and was looking to replace our still running fine 2000 4Runner. I was also thinking about a luxury vehicle, comparing similar luxury crossovers like Audi Q3, BMW X1 and X3, Acura RDX, as well as the Mazda CX5 and Toyota RAV4. We (my wife)especially were looking for new safety technology. We went to the Auto Show and checked out all the models. Lexus had an NX prototype there on a pedestal, but we couldn't sit in it or get too close. I liked it.

We went to the Auto Show again this year. We still liked the NX. I pulled the trigger when the price was right. Price, styling, technology, and Lexus (Toyota) quality and reliability were the deciding factors. Wife has been driving it. She likes it. I will get to drive it some this weekend (maybe).

Man, I know that feeling. My wife got to drive my NX for six months before buying her new Q3....and she won't let me near it except for washing and refueling.

That's OK, I guess, but I'd really like to run a full comparison between the two cars and eventually post my findings.
