My NX is finally in and I pick it up tomorrow! I could have picked it up last Friday, when the other 3 people picked theirs up. The dealer had 15 last Friday, including Hybrids and F-sports. All were pre-sold though. I will post picks once I get it.

Thanks! But no, this our first ever leap into a luxury brand. My wife keeps telling me we could have bought 2 CRV's for the price of this 1, LOL >

1. Is it quiet on the road (wind and road noise)?

2. If you have the 10-speaker audio system, then is it any good?

Thanks! I haven't driven an RX or anything higher. We drive a Honda CRV and it is definitely quieter then that. I will actually drive on the highway with the NX tomorrow so I will let you know. I do have the 10 speaker, system included with the navigation, but I can't compare it to the Mark Levison, since I never heard that system. It did sound pretty good while on the test drive, I will post later.

That's great! If you don't mind me asking. What state is your dealer located in? I'm in PA and my salesman said the NXs should arrive at their dealership around Dec. 7th.

My dealer is Servco Lexus of Honolulu. I originally ordered the Luxury package in Oct, that was supposed to arrive this month, then changed the order a day later to a premium package, but wouldnt get it until dec or jan. When i got the call, i was a bit surprised, but evidently, my first order wasnt cancelled for the luxury. Since i have been waiting since May, we decided to just purchase the luxury, after touching and feeling it.LOL. In Hawaii, dont got much choice on options, you get what they order, even if special ordered. So their luxury NX only comes in 1 config, which has every option included, even though i didnt need some of it. Out the door was little above 49k. With the extended warranty, will be about 51k. I still need to buy some options, but will wait a bit until after the holidays. I will report back after driving it home tonight.

Being that your in Honolulu explains why that grass looks so green. My lawn is covered with snow! I guess once mine comes in I get to check out how good the AWD works.

I know huh. The rest of the 49 states are snowing or really cold! It has been cold here in Hawaii, 70 degrees.....LOL

My first impression of the NX is it is quiet. Definitely more then our CRV. Maybe not as much as the RX. Lots of blind spots. The BSM does help let me know if there is a car in the blind spots. The 10 speakers sounds really good to me, but since some areas in Hawaii cant catch HD radio, i drove without the radio alot until we figured out the touchpad. Didnt want to drive it too hard until we reach 1000 miles but acceleration seems adequate. Will write more later...for now, happy thanksgiving everyone!

you've got to get on it hard during the first 1000. Not hard all the time, but a few hard accels running the engine through the full Rev range is needed to seal the pistons rings proper.

Lexus sevice can download your break in habits from ECU. IF things happen down the road, then they may blame your break-in if you did something extreme.

Thanks. I am following the manual. I am not taking any chances. It also states that you need to idle the engine after driving to not damage the turbocharger. 20 seconds for city driving, and longer for high speed driving. I wish there was a light of some sort to tell me it is safe to turn off. And yes, i do read the manual. Even though it is HUGE! I have 4 manuals that came with the car.

My dealer got in a few NX's today and has an Atomic Silver F Sport on the way. I wanted White or Black but if I don't take the Atomic Silver it might be a long wait to get either of the other colors. I'm going back tomorrow to take a NX 200t for a test drive. I have a deposit down and my salesman said the Atomic Silver is mine if I want it so I need to decide what to do.

Both my wife and I like the color. We only considered Atomic Silver or Nebula Grey with black interior. The nebula grey looked too much like our Camry we had awhile ago so we decided on the Atomic Silver.
