I am picking up my NX tomorrow and turning in my RX. YOHOO!

i like the fact that it is a little smaller and i hope that I Will be happy with my decision to "downsize" :)

Anyone here coming from RX350 and if so how has it been? Any remorse on the decision?

Good choice going with an NX.
Do you have need that SUV's like the RX and NX fulfill or do you just like Lexus SUV's?

What color did you get?
Both SUVs get good reviews. As long as you are happy with ahving a smaller vehicle you shouldn't have a problem with the switch.

What made you decide to downsize? Empty nest? Just downsizing to save some money since you didn't use the space anyway?

And welcome to the forum! :D

To save some money. Also, I am only 5'8" and i feel that the NX IS a better fit.

I just like lexus SUVs. I got the grey pearl colour.
Now that you've had it for a bit, are you happy with the decision to downsize? Do you miss your RX at all?

Today is only my second day of ownership but i really like it. For me it handles better than the RX.

Yup.
That's what I noticed on my first test drive, great nimble SUV with decent capability. Lexus did well!

Since they upsized the RX for the next generation it might impact how they handle, might not be as great as yours was.
Generally it makes sense for a smaller vehicle to have better handling so I'm glad that's what you are observing with the NX. Let us know your thoughts as they come to you. Most people love the NX, but it doesn't come out on top in every comparison, so I'm sure there are a few things that could be improved.

To an extent yeah, less weight to deal with, better turning radius, etc. But it's also in part due to how the vehicle is tuned, suspension being one of them.
I mentioned in another thread that the "sport mode" is quite amazing. I like how it accelerates and speeds up. I wonder though how this affects mpg?

On side note, does the NX accept regular fuel or premium only? One thing I liked about the RX was that it runs on regular.

My thinking is that premium is required for best performance. Mid-grade might be a good compromise. I have a RX330 and am also considering the NX. Good to know the handling is better.

It might be best to get a thread going specifically for performance during sport mode that also covers what MPG is like.

One guy as saying he was getting 23.5 mpg by using sport mode with a heavy foot.

So ECO MODE is only half a mile better per gallon?
^ that might be the case for now till engines are broken in officially and get their 'real' MPG number

Are you expecting a lower mpg?
Wouldn't the mpg get better and not worse after breaking in?
I still think we're going to see more then a few people jump ship from the RX to NX. I think Lexus may end up with a new volume leader on their hands when all is said and done...

We will.

The new RX moved a bit up size, some people don't need all that it has to offer, NX acts as a great move for folks coming from current and past RX gen's, it's a move I would make.
