Would never go for them.

From past experience, you just need to be very aware of who you park next to and where you park. Spending the extra time to exercise that pays off.

Perhaps you could go with a paint protector instead. This would help protect you from scratches and dings but wouldn't change the look of the car.

that won't help when it comes to dings, but at the least it'll help to a slight extent preventing paint transfer.
