Praised...

Hushed as a prep-school library, the NX300h lets a mere 71 decibels of noise into the cabin at wide-open throttle and only 68 when cruising at 70 mph (the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S550 measured 75 decibels wide open and 67 cruising). The interior is a snug, personal space with its high center console and central dash jutting out toward the occupants, creating a platform for the stand-up center screen.

Clicked on the test sheet link and found that they tested on August 13. Probably released the results now per some agreement with Lexus. Glad the 0 to 60 times are less than what Lexus published. If you want a mid-sized luxury hybrid SUV, this one gives the best mileage.

Depends what you are looking for. If speed is a priority then you are going to want to go with the F-sport model.
Not just speed, but financial too. If the only hybrid available is the $52k version, then there just isn't much choice. The F-sport is no rocket either...7 seconds is hardly class-leading. But, it represents a good value for the most part.

No one is buying the NX for speed and serious performance, you buy an RC for that.
Of course...but would you still be OK if the NX goes from 0-60 in 10 seconds? Who is the NX competing with? Is NX competing with Prius? Or is it competing with BMW X3/X4, Mercedes GLK/GLA, Porsche Macan, Acura RDX, etc.?

NX needs to be competitive. Saying that NX is not for performance minded folks is certainly not the message Lexus conveyed!! If that was the case, then a Honda CRV is fine for ALL OF YOU GUYS. Is that true?

Lets be more realistic here....

Its not like the F Sport is the holy grail or anything, but if you want a faster version of the NX it makes sense. I guess if speed was the only thing you care about you should probably go for a Macan, but if it is one among many things you care about the F Sport seems a good option.
