It boasts a smooth turbocharged four-cylinder, a well-crafted cabin, accommodating backseats and distinctive styling more likely to strike an emotional chord than most Lexus designs. Notable downsides include a lack of cargo space and a frustrating infotainment controller.

Why Should You Think Twice About This Car?
If you need an SUV for carrying lots of luggage or larger items, the NX should give you pause. This makes it one of the least family-friendly vehicles in the segment. Potential buyers should also test the two available infotainment interfaces as their nonstandard operation will be an obstacle for some.

cargo space is a downside when it comes to the NX but with a small SUV, it's something you have to expect.
I think car reviewers are not consistent and need to write some fault up, which may not be a problem for someone else. Also, it seems like the faster the car is, the less complaints (or are overlooked). Yes, you reduce the cargo area when you rake the back. But how often do you load to the top where the rake is? To me, cars are a compromise anyway. What I want doesn't exist.
It totally depends on your lifestyle. I find that I don't have a huge amount of cargo very often, but you do want the ability to transport more stuff on those off occasions where you have the need. If you consistently transport a lot of stuff then the cargo problem would be more of an issue.
If cargo is an issue and always an issue, than going up segment is what someone should do, Lexus RX ideally. GX would be nice but it comes with a gas guzzling V8.

what do you want, brown diesel station wagon with a slick 6 speed? Me too >:D the auto industry is essentially mercantilism if you think about it, WE have no say, we're simply left to purchase what is placed in front of us...
Yeah sadly that's the way it is and the way it will probably for ever, only hope for a 6 speed is when warranty is up ;)

park 6 Lexus NX's :D
get every version of the NX in your garage.
if you had a 6 car garage you probably wouldn't be looking to buy an NX ;)
unless of course you wanted something low key to roll around in.

Sadly that is the case.
They just come out with what supports their agenda and in line with the rest of the industry and leave us to pick.
