Hi to everybody, I got my 15.000 km service this week and with surprise, I noted that the Lexus dealer which had sold me the car, used Shell Helix 5W40 instead of the recommended Toyota 0w-20. Does anybody know what this could mean in term of consumption, protection of the engine etc.. ? I leave in Tuscany-Italy, where the temp goes from max -2C° ( very rarely ) up to + 40C° ( also very rarely ). Tks for yr replies
its very risky. you should avoid , my friend did same think he drives a long distance towing truck in new York he didn't change the oil now he is facing the engine problems so I would suggest be careful about your vehicle.
