In Europe Lexus has booked 10,000 preorders for the 300h...

Thats near 25% of all Lexus Europes 2013 volume (42,281)

If Lexus was looking to take over Europe with the NX and the RC, this seems like good news. Maybe the NX really will be able to convince Europeans that Lexus is awesome.
Maybe, but I do wonder if it may be the hybrid driving demand and not the NX per se. In the luxury segments there is no hybrid crossover in class with the NX...
crazy
and that's just in EU, imagine what sales will be like for America.
But considering what EU has to offer, this is GREAT for Lexus.

I'm not sure if America will appreciate the hybrid to the same degree as europe. Remember there is no diesel option so hybrid replaces that demand...
From what i have noticed when it comes to Toyota/Lexus hybrids, north americans seem to respond well to them, we may not see them appreciate hybrids as much as the europeans have in this case but it should (hopefully) still be up their in numbers
I think that having the Toyota Prius in America has given Americans a sense that Lexus and Toyota hybrids are a good investment.
The Prius did start it all for them and the hybrid vehicle segment as a whole, it's basically like the face of Hybrids.

I was gonna say, what about Tesla, but they just make pure EVs. Until there is a charging infrastructure across the country, I think that hybrids are the way to go.

Just read this article today.

Hybrid is indeed the way to go, so many perks to them right now especially as we make the transition from pure petrol to a mass amounts of EV's
Hybrids are the way to go IF you do high mileage
