I just had my NX serviced for the actuator recall. After checking the date of manufacture for the actuator mine was NOT part of the recall. I asked my service advisor to check two other issues out, my front wiper blade was streaking and my NX was slightly pulling to the right. They change both wiper blades and did a four wheel alignment at no change.

And to top it off they detailed my NX, filled the gas tank and gave me a newer model ES350 as a loaner for that day. My dealership is MotorWorld in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

I just came back to Lexus because of the dealer and how I was treated.
I had 2 BMWs between my Lexus's. The BMW dealer in my area does not measure up in any way. BMW national also does not measure up.

They picked me up at the airport and dropped me off at another location to meet up with my family....and provided me a nice lunch....all at no cost to me. There are a number of Lexus dealers in the 1,000+ miles between my house and Newport Beach, but you can bet I will give the Lexus dealer there the last say when it comes buying my next Lexus.
That is above and beyond customer service right there. I will love Lexus forever because of this.

Although it's possible I may one day go from my home in Washington state to California to buy a new Lexus, my current Lexus dealer in Oregon takes very good care of me too.

Even if it's just a routine oil change, my Portland Lexus dealer will meet me at the Starbucks near my house and give me an almost new loaner car to drive for the rest of the day before reversing the process later that day or the next.

This may not seem like a big deal to some, but with the increasing grid lock of heavy traffic and near inability to cross over the Columbia River back into Washington over our ancient I-5 Interstate Bridge in the afternoon....it's a god send!

Oh, and when my car is returned to me, it has been washed and vacuumed, and in the console are a couple of small boxes of some of the finest chocolates you'll every eat.

I think that Lexus dealers understand whats good for the company is good for them... providing you with outstanding customer service may not of gained them a sale, but who knows how many they could of lost had they said to you sorry we dont want your time... they know we talk LOL

A reputation is so valuable. Its hard to build and fairly easy to mess up. When you are part of a good company you feel compelled to live up to the great reputation that the company has. It's a part of your pride in the company, product and service.

I know the car jockey that has to drive out to you to do the exchange vouches for this deal as well, easy way to kill time and get paid

Plus of course its good for us consumers, one less barrier to getting things done and one less barrier for a dealer to get more dollars coming in.

They give you chocolate too? Why don't the other car dealerships follow their example?

If you think that's nice, you should see what some BMW, Mercedes, and Audi dealerships do. Some even have various snacks you can choose from in their waiting lounge along with the usual coffee/tea bar.

Yeah, my Lexus dealer in Portland does all this....just not when one opts for the "home delivery" option.

I've owned a BMW and currently have a brand new Audi, and I would say the pampering by the various dealerships are mixed, at best. Although I've only been to two Lexus dealerships, both made me want to come back just to enjoy the relaxed camaraderie and tasty snacks and fruit, and all the various coffees, teas, soft drinks....and even water, something that is in short supply in the West these days.
