Lexus NX Compact Crossover

Long rumored, Lexus will give its first glimpse at a small crossover model by year’s end say company officials.

Slotting in below the RX model in the company’s lineup, Lexus boss Kazuo Ohara has confirmed the compact crossover, reported to wear the NX badge, will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in November. A concept version, the production model will arrive shortly thereafter, debuting at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

According to reports the new model will be based on the Toyota RAV4 platform and will use a hybrid powertrain similar to that found in the Lexus IS300h and ES300h. Those car’s use a 2.5-liter gasoline 4-cylinder engine mated to a hybrid system that can deliver up to 200 hp and 40 mpg in combined city/highway driving.

Rumors have also suggested the NX will be the first Lexus to use a turbocharged engine.

The NX could mark the launch of a new wave of crossovers from the Toyota luxury division, with additional reports suggesting it could transform either its GX or LX SUVs into a car-based crossover.

Can't wait for the geneva show.
I've been waiting for an SUV/Crossover like this from lexus. Hopefully it looks just as good as it does in some of the speculative renderings seen on this forum

The production version of the Lexus NX looks so much more tame than the concept. Do you think that rendering is basically on point, or do you think that Lexus will make it a bit more aggressive. If you look at some of Lexus' other designs, I think a more aggressive look isn't totally impossible.

Maybe he works for Lexus
I highly doubt anyone who has seen it at this point will talk about it.
