Just bought NX200t AWD Gray/Flaxen

Picked-up a new AWD NX200t, Gray w/Flaxen interior this week.
So far, so good, like it a lot. It was tough to find an in stock car without added options in my area. I'd have preferred no navigation but it would have been at the expense of no BSM (for an in stock car) which I think important given the visibility in this car. Keep you posted as I put the miles on.

Enform Remote

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll post some pictures later this week.

I've yet to master the Enform remote to start the car remotely. Every time I use the app I get an error message similar to the one below this morning. Needless to say, when checking the status page of the app the car was locked etc...I'm doing something wrong.

The request to start the engine of your vehicle, 'NX 200t 5 DOOR SU', made on 08/03/15 at 07:38 AM Eastern Time was unsuccessful as the vehicle had one or more of the following issues when it received the request:

- The doors were unlocked or manually locked
- The trunk or hood was open
- The security alarm was active
- A Remote Start operation was already in-progress
- The brake pedal was being pressed
- The vehicle was not in park
- The fuel level was too low

If you see this message repeatedly, please contact your dealer.

If it helps, I think last I checked a while back Lexus had video tutorials on their website on using Enform, it might be worth checking out.

Hi David - thanks for the reply. I figured it out. The key was to lock the doors first with the app.

I noticed an issue that I've not experienced before in a car. You can switch-off the car with the gear in "D" and it'll remain in "D". The car will then roll if it's on any type of hill. My previous car, BMW 535xi, would automatically flip to "P" if you either turn-off the car or remove the key. Is this a feature of keyless cars? I've not experienced this before. Recently both my wife and I inadvertently turned-off the car with the gear in "D" and as we went to get out the car is rolling away. I was wondering whether this was a safety feature in the event you accidentally hit the on/off button when driving.

more then likely, I am surprised the car isn't smarter then that though... I could turn off my old pickup with it still in drive, but it wouldn't let me get the keysout...
