Lexus NX size vs rivals

I have been reading a lot of nonsense about the NX's size...so here is the factual data. The Lexus NX is identical to Q5 in size, which means it is the same size as Acura RDX. Lexus NX is larger than Buick Encore and Chevy Trax in every dimension.

These CUVs are all basically the same size box. Mercedes GLK is the shortest one in the class.

Porsche Macan: Length 184.3" × Width 75.7" × Height 63.9" // Wheelbase 110.5"

Acura RDX: Length 183.7" x Width 73.8" x Height 64.2" // Wheelbase 105.7"

BMW X3: Length 183.1" x Width 74.2" x Height 67.4" // Wheelbase 110.6"

Lexus NX: Length 182.7" × Width 73.6" × Height 63.4" // Wheelbase 106.3"

Audi Q5: Length 182.6" x Width 74.0" x Height 65" // Wheelbase 110.5"

Volvo XC60: Length 182.2" x Width 74.4" x Height 67.5" // Wheelbase 109.2"

Lincoln MKC: Length 179.3" x Width 73.4" x Height 65.2" // Wheelbase 105.9"

Mercedes-Benz GLK: Length: 178.3" x Width 74.3" x Height 66.9" // Wheelbase 108.5"

probably worth comparing the NX to the RX to see where it compares to the existing Lexus SUV

this is all good to know but i think if you can put together an interior dimensions comparison it would be more helpful

Remarkably similar dimensions between all of these competitors. I guess that makes sense given that one of the main things that dictates what segment a vehicle is in is its size. Not that there is really much difference between the sizes of the different vehicles, but I think that the NX is occupying a good space as not the biggest in the segment, but still on the bigger side. That should mean that it has some more cargo space to offer than many of the others.

NX: (official specs)
Length: 182.3
Width: 72.6
Height: 64.8
Wheelbase: 104.7

RX:
L = 187.8
W = 74.2

It is a pretty small vehicle but that is the point right? I am more curious to see how they designed the interior. Will the NX have a very large cargo capacity or will it have a trunk that is super small and not that useful?

I can't find the cargo capacity specs online as of yet.

The dimensions in the op's list have a lot of errors.

Yes, I think the NX wheelbase is too short compared to the others in segment. I always equate WB to quality of ride, the shorter it is the more choppy a ride.

3 inches is NOT a "tad shorter."
